Fraser Eagle, a UK-based company operating in transport and passenger management, retail travel services and specialist interior solutions for major hotels, has recently awarded a substantial IT outsourcing contract to Crimsonwing (Malta) Ltd of Marsa.

Fraser Eagle is currently redeveloping its line of business software application. Their current application runs all aspects of the Fraser Eagle Management Services Business, from order taking, order fulfilment, order tracking, pricing and costing out, to supplier delivery statistics, client/ supplier communication tracking and invoicing. The application has full integration into the Fraser Eagle VOIP phone system, mapping engine, SMS gateway and rail network data.

The existing application has been in place for some years and has been affected by many revisions driven by changing business needs and the emergence of new contract expectations.

Publicity in the Outsource Magazine, a leading international outsourcing publication and a meeting with Malta Enterprise at the OutsourceWorld Exhibition 2005 in London last June were the catalysts for Fraser Eagle's visit to Malta. Organised by Malta Enterprise, this trade visit ensured that the Fraser Eagle delegation met 11 local IT suppliers within a short time.

Kevin Dean, group managing director of the UK company, was pleased with the outcome of their visit: "We found the level of IT skills very high in Malta and that with competitive pricing, a solid commitment from Crimsonwing and their international experience led us to believe that they best suited our requirements. Moreover, we are keen to promote Maltese IT skills throughout the UK and are considering other projects with the full support of Malta Enterprise."

Crimsonwing CEO David Walsh mentioned the thorough assessment carried out by Fraser Eagle and the six-year strategic partnership that will continue Crimsonwing's valuable interaction with UK companies. Delivery is scheduled for April 2006.

Malta Enterprise chairman Joseph Zammit Tabona said Malta Enterprise was looking forward to support Fraser Eagle in finalising other projects, which are expected to generate employment in the knowledge sector.
