The Customs Department has received messages of congratulation from foreign agencies after Monday's massive haul of counterfeit cigarettes at the Freeport. The department yesterday gave the final tally from investigations, showing the extent of the fraud.

The Customs Department has received messages of congratulation from foreign agencies after Monday's massive haul of counterfeit cigarettes at the Freeport.

The department yesterday gave the final tally from investigations, showing the extent of the fraud. The three containers impounded contained 9.33 million "Marlboro" cigarettes and 18.02 million "Gauloises".

This was the first ever haul of counterfeit Gauloises.
