A 62-year-old man from Santa Luċija was grievously injured on Wednesday when he lost control of the bicycle he was riding and fell.

The police said the accident happened in Triq Dawret Ħal Għaxaq, Għaxaq at 4pm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating.
