Finance Minister John Dalli yesterday presented a cheque for Lm10,000 to the Malta Football Association.

Donations are made every year from lottery funds to the association and to other sporting and philanthropic organisations.

Mr Dalli said that once the lottery department was privatised, a fund would be set up to ensure that the donations would continue to be given.
