A burst main sewer in St Paul Street, St Paul's Bay, has caused raw sewage to flow through the street and into the bay, the Water Services Corporation said. 

Workers are carrying out emergency works whilst Transport Malta officials are controlling traffic. The works are expected to take at least 24 hours. The area in question (known as the Vecca area) will be cleaned and disinfected once repairs are completed.
