Contact Dance Company has been invited to perform at the second Mediterranean Platform of Contemporary Dance in Volos, Greece.
The event provides the opportunity to strengthen the spirit of collaboration and cultural exchange among participant choreographers and dance companies.
It also aspires to promote dance from the Mediterranean countries. This year's platform will host Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Spain, Slovenia, Turkey and Tunisia.
Francesca Abela Tranter, artistic director and choreographer of Contact, said she had been touring internationally for the last six years to arrive to this point.
"This platform gives CDC the opportunity of receiving overseas professional contracts to theatres globally," she said.
The Dancers, Rachel Axisa, Gillian Zammit, Fiona Barthet, Yasmine Nuvoli and Olivia Vella, will be performing Tempest and Poetry In Motion accompanied by musician Renzo Spiteri who has been collaborating with the dance company.
This year's platform expects to host an important number of artistic directors and art agents who represent acclaimed international organisations and events. The performances will take place at the Municipal Theatre in Volos.
