The Contact Dance Company visited Hungary, Tunis and Greece where it performed Recited Spaces choreographed by Sandra Mifsud, one of its principal dancers, TV OD, choreographed by Douglas Comley (Wales) and Tempest, choreographed by artistic director Francesca Abela Tranter accompanied by musician Renzo Spiteri.

Corpus, a video directed and produced by Ms Abela Tranter, was projected and was received with great interest, the company said.

The company's work was chosen to be video projected at the Hania conference in Crete to several artistic directors of festivals, journalists and dance agents from all over Europe. The aim of this conference was to celebrate the youthful spirit of contemporary dance and to introduce the most recent works by choreographers from Mediterranean countries with the aim of fostering cultural exchanges between companies.

The company will be performing in Malta in July and will also be giving further performances overseas. Also in July, it will be hosting a five-day workshop at The Dance Workshop, open to all senior dance students.
