I take the T'Alla w Ommu hill in Naxxar every day. It is a death trap! Many cars have driven into the unlit roundabout at the bottom of this hill on the way from Salina.

The roundabout is incredibly dangerous because you cannot see it until you hit it, as I very nearly found out one night going home by motorbike. Now that I am aware of it, I look out for it. The signs on the side of the road informing that there is a roundabout are no use because it is so dark you cannot see what is written on them and by the time you do realise it... bang, you've hit it. I was lucky because my bike is small and I just skimmed the edge of it but cars may not be so lucky.

It's not the first time that I have seen poor people in the middle of the roundabout or, having run over it, crashed into the wall on the other side.

Is there nothing that can be done to put some lights on this roundabout so that fatalities can be avoided?

It's the Christmas season and some drivers are undoubtedly going to be a little tipsy and driving less carefully than usual.
