Alternattiva Demokratika welcomed the agreement on the reform of public transport but feels the price of day tickets was not an incentive for increased use of the declining public transport.

AD's spokesman for civil society, Michael Briguglio said the introduction of new buses and ticketing machines were positive steps for the revival of public transport. However, he added, the prices of day tickets ranging from Lm1.50 for one day to Lm5.50 for seven days were not an incentive for increased use of public transport, he said.
