Professional driver Charles Degiorgio added another win to his name this week in a race held over a short distance of 2,100m at the Orebro Racetrack in Sweden.
On Thursday evening, Degiorgio and Swedish seven-year-old Demi Deck led all the way to victory, clocking an average time of 1.16.8" per kilometre. Yukon Pop (Johan Sedstrom), Alfons Loss (Carl Erik Lindblom) and Master of Speed (Mikael J. Andersson) finished behind Demi Deck in that order.
Demi Deck belongs to Swedish owners and is the son of Swedish mount Zoogin. So far this year, horses trained or driven by Degiorgio in Sweden took part in 71 races with a record of five victories, eight times runners-up and another eight third places.
Last night, Degiorgio was taking part in other races at the Solvalla Racetrack.
He was scheduled to drive American Prince Regent and Dutch Zilver Boko.
