An office has been set up on campus to increase students' awareness about the opportunities and benefits that the Degreeplus programme offers to enable students who go beyond their compulsory credits to enrich their university experience.
Degreeplus is an innovative programme supported by Bank of Valletta that boosts students' academic studies with additional experiences that help them build a stronger character to enhance their future careers.
Programme committee chairman Prof. Joseph Grima said the new office would help to spread awareness that the programme was available for all the student population.
During the inauguration, students on the Entrepreneurship stream of the Degreeplus programme were addressed by BoV senior manager on SMEs and EU affairs Peter Sant, on the challenges faced by SMEs, particularly family businesses.
Apart from this stream, Degreeplus is this year offering units in ICT, languages, culture and heritage, music, wellness and sport, voluntary work with student organisations and other activities.
