I refer to the proposal to have children excluded form the departure tax (July 20).

As children already benefit from travel agents' special offers etc., I think it is about time that some thought is given to the pensioner on a fixed income. If this scheme goes ahead I think that we also should be considered and exempted.

We are not all well off but still like the occasional holiday. With this new tax, it will no longer be an option for us.
