I read with horror an article that was published in Suara Enggang, a local bird magazine here in Malaysia, about the 130 bird carcasses found recently in Malta. The illegal hunting of protected birds is of great concern and cannot be ignored by the government, which claims that all hunting is under control.

The article was entitled Another Bird Massacre In Malta, written by Joseph Mangion, president of BirdLife Malta.

A person in his position may be able to make a difference, hence I am appealing to Mr Mangion to talk to the Maltese citizens.

Education is the key! We are most certainly destroying nature faster than it can replenish itself.
