"Dhalia Real Estate Services will be embarking on an internationalisation programme which will see the company strengthening its overseas business network and focus its strategies on tapping into and gaining market share overseas. To achieve this objective the company will be investing in its resources to create the right team," Dhalia's chairman and CEO Alan Camilleri told the company's annual conference at the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort and Spa last week.

Mr Camilleri also spoke about the four core values guiding Dhalia in the year to come. These included professionalism, performance, market leadership and teamwork.

He said that every individual needed to adopt a professional approach to deliver a high quality service. Given the highly competitive market, consultants need to be innovative, motivated and more efficient to reach target objectives. Such a strategy, he added, would help Dhalia Real Estate Services become the agency of natural choice.

The conference was also addressed by Chris Grech, Dhalia's business development director, who emphasised the importance of developing a customer-focused strategy that stems from the company's commitment to provide value added services tailor-made for all requirements.

Mr Grech also spoke about the importance of working as a team to meet new challenges. He placed particular emphasis on the commitment to exceed customer expectations and encouraged consultants to invest in continuous personal and professional development in an effort to be one step ahead of competition.

Operations manager Nicky Camilleri gave an overview of the company's performance during 2007 and launched the company's plans for 2008, which will see the opening of two new offices. Notwithstanding the challenges ahead, Mr Camilleri reported an increase in Dhalia's turnover and overall performance last year.

The annual conference came to an end with the presentation of certificates and awards to Dhalia staff in recognition for their efforts and hard work.

Prizes were presented to Dhalia's top negotiator Sandra Grech; top manager Warren Azzopardi; and top letting consultant Janice Balzan. Other awards were given for customer service, most promising consultant, best contributor to the inventory, and best kept office.
