Didn’t receive your voting document? Here’s where to collect it
Registered voters can collect their document from police stations or local councils until Sunday
Registered voters who have not yet received their voting document may collect it in person from their local police station, the Electoral Commission said.
The voters must show their identity card to collect their voting document.
They can collect the document from Tuesday between 3pm and 9pm; Wednesday till Friday between 8am and 1pm and between 3pm and 9pm; on Saturday between 8am and 10pm and Sunday May 24 between 8am and 12pm.
In St Paul’s Bay, voting documents can be collected from the Qawra police station.
For those living in Attard, Balzan, Cospicua, Dingli, Fontana, Għargħur, Għarb, Għasri, Għaxaq, Gudja, Gżira, Ħamrun, Senglea, Iklin, Kalkara, Kerċem, Kirkop, Lija, Marsa, Marsascala, Mdina, Mġarr, Msida, Pietà, Pembroke, Safi, San Lawrenz, Santa Luċija, Siġġiewi, Ta’ Xbiex, Xagħra and Xgħajra, voting documents shall be collected from the Local Council Office during the same days and hours.
After May 24, voters can collect their voting documents from the Electoral Commission counting Complex (ex-Trade Fair Grounds) in Naxxar or, for those registered in Gozo, from the Electoral Office in Triq ta’ Wara s-Sur, Victoria.
The Electoral Commission said that every voter should ensure that the voting document has their voting document as “nobody will be allowed to vote without it”.
Voting days for Assistant Electoral Commissioners
People serving as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Place Officers (including reserves) on May 26, will be able to vote only on Saturday May 23.
The rest of Assistant Electoral Commissioners and Polling Place Officers (including reserves) shall be able to vote only on Tuesday May 26, at the Vote Counting Complex in Naxxar if they are registered voters in Malta and at the Government Experimental Farm in Xewkija if they are voters registered under Gozo.
Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Place Officers must vote in person at the indicated place and day and must submit their voting document. Voting hours shall be from 7am to 10pm without interruption.
They will not be allowed to vote on May 30, even if they withdraw from their post, the Electoral Commission said.
