Difficulties with Easyline service

Maltacom yesterday said its Easyline prepaid service could not currently be used for outgoing calls, due to technical problems.

Incoming calls can be received as usual, it said.

In order to minimise inconvenience, all Easyline services have been switched to the normal telephone service so as to enable customers to terminate local calls, Maltacom said. The service is barred to any mobile, paging, international, premium and internet numbers.

When the Easyline service returns to normal, Maltacom will immediately revert all the registered customers to the former system.

The corporation apologised for the inconvenience and said its engineers were working to remedy the situation as soon as possible.
