Direct access from new flyover to Msida seafront from Tuesday

Another milestone in the Msida Creek project

Motorists will have direct access from the new flyover to Msida seafront as of Tuesday, Infrastructure Malta has announced.

Direct access in the other direction, from the seafront direct to the flyover was opened three weeks ago.

Motorists previously had to negotiate a roundabout route in between works forming part of the Msida Creek project.

The flyover itself was opened for traffic in December. Work on it had started in November 2024 and the first of its six giant steel spans was laid in April 2025.

The Msida Creek Project also features an underground stormwater system to ease the area’s flooding problem, a 300m water canal, a bridge that takes traffic across the creek from the Ta'Xbiex area and a new square in front of the church.
