Emirates' inaugural flight to Perth in Australia takes off from Dubai International Airport at 2.35 a.m. today.

The Perth service is the first-ever non-stop flight between the Gulf and Australia. This, the airline said, would make it easier for Maltese to visit relatives in Australia. Likewise, the Maltese community in Perth could now enjoy a non-stop flight to Dubai four times a week and then another non-stop flight from Dubai to Malta, the airline said.
