I would like to make the following comments. The Malta Gymnastics Federation (MGF) was founded in 1996 and is a full member of the Malta Olympic Committee.
Unfortunately, for the last few months there has been a small element within the MGF that seems to be systematically undermining the function of the federation, which is a democratic forum. Their interests are yet unknown although it is overtly clear that their aim is to destroy the reputation of the federation to pursue with their personal interests.
Consequently, their contribution to the press is a vindictive plan to put the federation in bad light and to throw insinuations to its members who have always worked hard for the benefit of gymnastics in Malta.
Furthermore, the federation feels that if there are any disputes, these can be resolved internally by using its democratic structures.
For the sake of correctness and contrary to any allegations made, the MGF has been striving to expose local gymnastics in competitions for the last six years. Should it be required, we are ready to go into detail of each and every activity.
