The young participants of Kidstart Summer Club recently had the honour of welcoming Dr Louis Galea, Minister of Education, Youth and Employment, who visited Kidstart at Mriehel and Sonia Camilleri, Commissioner for Children who visited Kidstart at St Venera. Both visitors received a very warm welcome by the administrators, staff and participants.

The kids were keen to talk and show off their work to both Dr Galea and Ms Camilleri, who in turn thought nothing of helping the kids out with their crafts and other activities going on at that moment. During the visit Dr Galea announced that as from next year summer schools that register with the Education division and show that their programme has educational value will be exempted from charging VAT on the fees paid by parents.

Ms Camilleri commented very positively on the professional manner in which Kidstart is run. She encouraged parents to send their kids to a summer programme that encourages the kids to be active, to socialise with others and to have fun safely thoughout the long summer holidays.
