A 62-year-old man was seriously injured on Monday after diving off Ċirkewwa.

The police said in a statement on Tuesday that the UK national was lifted out of the sea by fellow divers.

He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.

A magisterial inquiry and police investigations are ongoing.
