A 61-year-old German died in Xwejni Bay, Gozo, this morning after suffering a suspected heart attack while free diving.

The police said the incident happened at around 8.15 a.m.

An ambulance team administered CPR without success. Rescuers of the Civil Protection Department were also on the scene.
