An armed forces Alouette helicopter yesterday rescued two divers who found themselves in difficulty at Ghar Lapsi.

The alarm was raised in the afternoon and passed on by the police to the AFM.

The divers were located immediately at the foot of the storm-buffeted cliffs. They had found themselves in difficulty owing to the rough seas and could not make it to shore, took off their equipment and waited for assistance.

No medical treatment was necessary. The divers were lowered ashore at Ghar Lapsi, while their equipment was later picked up by the AFM and returned to them.
