A bill on domestic violence was one of six bills given a first reading when parliament met yesterday evening.

The other bills were the Mediation Bill, the Code of Organisation and Civil Procedure (amendment) Bill, the Criminal Code (amendment) Bill, the Local Councils (amendment) Bill and the Trusts Bill.

The Communication Laws (amendment) Bill and the Refugees Bill were given a third reading yesterday.

The House yesterday also agreed that the Malta parliament's delegation for the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly will be composed of Mario Galea, Michael Asciak and George Vella.
