A fierce fire destroyed a double-decker tourist bus near Mġarr, Malta, on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire broke out at around 4.30pm and quickly spread through the vehicle, producing a thick column of smoke. The bus was empty other than for the driver, and no one was injured. 

Firemen from the Civil Protection Department were on the scene to put out the blaze.
