Down's Syndrome Association gets British help

British High Commissioner Vincent Fean has presented a cheque to the Down's Syndrome Association.

The association aims to contact parents of newly born babies with Down's Syndrome as early as possible and provide counselling and support, particularly in the early stages of a baby's life, providing physiotherapy and speech therapy services.

It strives to increase public awareness and understanding of the nature of Down's Syndrome people so they may lead a rewarding and full life.

It also supports professionals in their work and research of Down's Syndrome.

The work of the association depends on the generosity of its members and the public through donations that help in meeting the administrative costs and the subsidisation of the services offered.
