Dowty `O` Rings has signed a three-year `exclusivity` contract with the Raufoss Group of Norway.

Dowty beat off stiff competition and won over all other business currently enjoyed by competitors to become the sole supplier of O Rings for Airbrake applications to Raufoss.

Dowty`s operations director, Marc Butler, described the contract as a fantastic achievement.

"Our restructuring to focus on market segments is paying off, the new business will be manufactured and supplied from our new, recently opened Brakes Business Unit in Hal Far.

Dowty has plans to transfer all manufacturing from its large facility in Mriehel to smaller autonomous market focused business units in Hal Far over the next two years.

This new contract follows similar long term agreements with DAF Trucks of Holland and Atlas Copco of Belgium.
