Joseph Spiteri, 42, of Zejtun, was yesterday remanded in custody after being charged with drug trafficking.

Spiteri was charged with being in possession of over 20 grammes of cocaine, heroin and cannabis in Sliema on Friday. The drugs were allegedly found in quantities that denoted they were not for his personal use.

He was further charged with carrying unlicensed knives and relapsing.

Police Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted.

Dr Beppe Fenech Adami assisted the accused.
