A 27-year-old man has been arrested after the police found drugs and dead protected birds in a residence in Cospicua.

The discoveries were made during a raid by the police drug squad and Zabbar district police after a tip-off about drug trafficking.

The police said they found 17 ecstasy pills and material related to drugs and 103 dead protected birds.

Further investigations are under way.
