Dutch prosecutors are investigating the possible involvement of an ADO Den Haag player in soccer fraud, the club said yesterday.
First division ADO said it would fully cooperate with the investigation of the player who was not named.
Several people were questioned in the investigation, ADO Den Haag said in a press release, stressing the club was not a target of the investigation but an individual player.
On Thursday, prosecutors said they were investigating possible fraud in Dutch soccer.
Telegraaf newspaper reported yesterday that FC Utrecht and Willem II were also being investigated.
Both clubs denied being approached by the prosecutors.
A spokeswoman for Dutch prosecutors declined to give any details on the case or about the investigation which she said was still in its early stages.
