The Dutch Prime Minister, Jan Peter Balkenende, will pay a working visit to Malta tomorrow.

During his visit, Dr Balkenende will open the new Chancellery of the Royal Netherlands Embassy that was established in Malta in 2002.

After the inauguration, talks with the Prime Minister will be held, followed by a joint press conference at Auberge de Castille, in Valletta.

Dr Balkenende was elected leader of the CDA (Christian Democrats) parliamentary party on October 1, 2001. He was elected Prime Minister on July 22, 2002 and was re-elected to head his second government on May 27, 2003.
