The Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise has launched an e-market network in the Euro-Med region in conjunction with 15 Mediterranean partners, Euro-Med TDS and the EuropeAid Co-operation Office of the European Union.

The service which is meant at putting business, buyers and suppliers, in contact will be initially dedicated to agri-food. It will be extended to other sectors in due course.

Chamber president Louis Apap-Bologna described the service as having a specialised agri-food trade-fair on your desk-top.

Mr Apap-Bologna said that for years the chamber has acknowledged the reality of globalisation and argued in favour of free trade across EU member states and beyond.
