eCabs ride-hailing technology expands services to Australia's RooRides
Its ride-hailing technology will now power an operator through its white label platform
Maltese cab company and platform eCabs has extended its services to Australia.
The company announced that its ride-hailing technology will now power RooRides, a Western Australia-based operator, through its white label platform.
White label technology is a customisable software that allows one company to offer another’s technology under its own brand.
Operating since August, RooRides operates in Esperance, a popular Australian holiday destination. It plans to expand its services to other parts of the Australian state.
eCabs Technologies CEO Matthew Bezzina said the entry into Australia demonstrates the adaptability of its technology.
“This partnership is a clear example of how our years of operational experience in marketing, branding and launching mobility services can be harnessed to help operators succeed. Despite the geographical distance, our tech is designed to be deployed quickly and seamlessly into any market, with customisation second nature to us,” he said.

RooRides CEO Steve McMullen pointed to the white label technology of eCabs as reason why it chose to partner with the Maltese company.

Their cutting-edge technology, industry expertise and exceptional support in operations and marketing enabled us to launch successfully and deliver a seamless experience for our riders and drivers,” he said.
e-Cabs’ white label technology is already used by operators in Malta, Greece, Romania, Germany and the UK. The company spent €18 million on the software.
The company says it provides smaller operators with technology that allows them to compete with multinationals in the industry.
