Education Minister Louis Galea is in Cyprus for the seventh Conference of European Ministers of Education.

The conference was organised by the Greek presidency of the European Union, the European Commission and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus.

It will focus on the quality of education, teacher training, the European identity and active citizenship.

Dr Galea has been invited to be rapporteur of one of the two workshops to be held during the conference.

Education ministers from the 15 EU member states as well as from the 10 acceding countries are expected to attend.
