The board of directors of the national orchestra intends to hold educational music programmes on a regular basis following the success in recent programmes, with the last one being held for the first time in Gozo this week.

The series, launched last July at St James' Cavalier Centre for Creativity, is for schoolchildren.

The programmes give students an opportunity of familiarising themselves with the various sections and instruments of an orchestra.
