The closing date for the revised Electoral Register of the General Elections, which is due to be published in April, is March 31, the Electoral Commission said.

All Maltese nationals who are 18 years old and over and whose name does not appear on the Electoral Register published in October 2007 and who have not yet applied for registration as voters, need to apply if they have the necessary qualifications.

Application forms can be obtained from police stations, local councils and from the Electoral Office, and can also be downloaded from the website www.electoral.gov.mt.

The Commission said it was in the interest of the voters to verify whether their personal particulars as they appear in the Electoral Register of October 2007 are correct. They should inform the Electoral Office regarding any changes.

The office is open from Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 7.30 to 10.45 a.m.

The same service is on offer at the ID Card Offices in Pjazza San Franġisk, Victoria.
