Elegance, empowerment and indulgence at the Pink Ladies’ Luncheon by Zest
Fashion for all sizes, make-up tips, delicious food and more were served at the Times of Malta networking luncheon
The Pink Ladies’ Luncheon by Zest brought together a vibrant gathering of women for a celebration of connection, style, creativity and indulgence last week, playing host to an occasion of both sophistication and conviviality.
Held at the acclaimed Michelin Plate award-winning Zest Restaurant in St Julian’s, the event was a fusion of fine dining, fashion, beauty, jewellery and design – all things beautiful.
The highlight of the Times of Malta networking luncheon was a fashion showcase by Lilly Mae, which underscored its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, with sizes spanning 6 to 24, making style accessible to all.
Models walked among the tables, with the Zest décor and design forming a natural catwalk. Featuring Marina Rinaldi and Elena Mirò, which also cater for curvy sizes, and Penny Black for the more petite, the collections captured the spirit of spring while emphasising both comfort and elegance.

The bold handcrafted pieces, all the way from Lisbon, reflected a harmonious blend of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Complementing the ensembles were also statement sunglasses by Solaris, adding a modern edge to the overall aesthetic and heralding summer sunshine.
Following the show, Bahia herself, who travelled from Portugal for the occasion, offered insight into her inspiration and the artistry behind her creations, while guests could take a close look at her handmade pieces on display.
Erika Cassar, Director, Zest and Hotel Juliani.Beauty also stepped into the spotlight, with quick-fix expert tips from Franks 89. A short demo showcased how to effortlessly transition from daytime looks to evening sophistication using premium Augustinus Bader products for that added boost of freshness.
The experience culminated in a stand-up luncheon by Zest, where guests indulged in a selection of the restaurant’s signature East-meets-West cuisine, served from its sushi bar, followed by sumptuous desserts it is also known for.
Opened in 2002 as the first Asian fusion restaurant in Malta, and located on the first floor of Hotel Juliani, within a restored St Julian’s townhouse, Zest remains a pillar in Malta’s contemporary culinary scene.
Guests also enjoyed live music and its open-air terrace overlooking Spinola Bay – and two Porsche Cayenne’s stationed outside the property.
Porsche invited guests to scan a QR code to book a thrilling test drive for the new Cayenne, launching in June, and showered them in orange roses.

As always, they did not leave empty-handed, but mostly, they were enlightened and energised by the opportunity to meet and network with other women in a stunning ambience.
