The police are expected to arraign 11 persons in the coming days after they were allegedly found in possession of drugs during a drug squad raid on an entertainment spot in the limits of Rabat and during various roadblocks on Saturday night.

The vehicle checkpoints were mounted by members of the Armed Forces of Malta's C (SD) Company, 1st Regiment in Attard and Cospicua. The police said the haul consisted of 41 ecstasy pills and amounts of cannabis and cocaine.

The ages of those under investigation - eight men and three women - ranges between 16 and 31.

Drug squad officers are conducting investigations.
