Which countries are eligible to Sapard funding?

The countries eligible for assistance under Sapard are Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia. Malta and Cyprus have other arrangements. The programme covers a period of up to seven years from the year 2000. Countries that join the EU before this date will switch directly to the ordinary programmes under the structural, agricultural and rural development regulations of the EU.
