The Klandestini Festival of Emerging Mediterranean Literature, a multilateral creative writing project run by Inizjamed and the British Council with the support of the St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, will be held between tomorrow and Sunday at St James Cavalier in Valletta.
The programme includes two seminars on writing, translation and publication tomorrow afternoon and on Saturday morning and two different literature readings by writers from Italy, Cyprus, Greece and Malta on Saturday and Sunday evening at eight.
The events are free and the public is welcome to attend.
The emerging writers who have been selected to take part in the festival are Nora Nadjarian, Jenan Selchuck, Gurgenc Korkmazel, Faize Ozdemirciler, Maria Thoma and Christian Avraamidou from Cyprus; Fed Zanatta, Marco Andreoli, Valerio Cruciani and Alessandro Aronadio from Italy; Sotiris Selavis, Archontoula Alexandropoulou, Pavlina Ferfelli and Angeliki Sigourou from Greece and Clare Azzopardi, Stanley Borg, Norbert Bugeja, Priscilla Cassar, Maria Grech Ganado and Adrian Grima from Malta.
