One of the worst problems that I have found with Enemalta over the last few years is their billing system, having seen over a year pass without receiving a bill from them.
When the bill arrived there was obviously a shock at the amount owed for water and electricity; I am aware of others who have not received bills for more than one year.
This must surely lead to losses for the corporation, as certain individuals must find it difficult to pay such large amounts in such a short time.
Why cannot Enemalta emulate most power and water services companies throughout Europe? These companies bill their customers on a quarterly basis, in fact some of them offer a monthly payment service, which helps people to get a better understanding of their consumption and so easily pay outstanding amounts.
The biggest problem with Enemalta is that it fails to see us as its customers and therefore offers little or no professional after-sales service.
