BirdLife Malta launched the fourth edition of Dinja Wahda, an educational campaign in favour of the environment.

Dinja Wahda encourages schoolchildren to make bird tables, plant trees, grow oak seedlings from acorns, collect old newspapers for recycling and used batteries for waste disposal, and other activities.

The respective schools where the children attend earn points that may win the Gold Award.

BirdLife said that through these activities, children learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and learn about the problems of pollution and depleted resources.

The APS Bank marketing unit are the main sponsors of the campaign.
