The Equal Partners Foundation is holding a Valletta Week to focus the attention of schoolchildren in Valletta.

During events between tomorrow and Friday, over a thousand schoolchildren, mostly in Year 6, will have the opportunity to recognise the wealth of the cultural heritage harboured within Valletta by visiting The Malta Experience, The Knights Hospitallers, The National War Museum and Fort St Elmo, among other attractions.

Besides teachers and facilitators, a number of volunteers and first-aiders from St John Ambulance will accompany the schoolchildren.

Colin Galea, president of the foundation, said: "The rationale behind this schedule of events is to raise funds to support the programmes of children with disability from families who are in need, while returning something of interest and value to those helping us in our mission."
