The House of Representatives yesterday gave a first reading to 32 bills, including one to ratify the EU accession treaty and another to regulate the holding of the elections to the European Parliament.

The other bills were the Internal Audit and Financial Investiations Bill, the Social Security Act (amendment) Bill, the Commissioner for Children Bill, the Social Work Bill, the Psychology Profession Bill, the Education Act (amendment) Bill, the Central Registry Bill, the Civil Code (amendment) Bill, the Firearms Bill, the Civil Aviation and Eurocontrol Acts (amendment) Bill, the Public Health Bill, the Medical Services Bill, the Tobacco Smoking Control Act (amendment) Bill, the Medical Professions Bill;
