A delegation of the Environment Committee of the European Parliament will be visiting Malta today and tomorrow, the Department of Information said.

The delegation will be headed by Caroline Jackson MEP (Conservative), the committee`s chairman.

The agenda covers various meetings with Maltese authorities, the Opposition and Alternattiva Demokratika as well as environmental NGOs.

Visits to the Maghtab landfill site, the Marsa and Delimara power stations and the Ghadira nature reserve are also included in the programme.
