EuroNews was in Malta last week for two days to interview members of the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) Malta.
EuroNews met with various NGOs and with persons experiencing poverty and social exclusion. The interviews focused on the issues considered to be a priority by EAPN Malta such as mental health, disability, illiteracy, domestic violence, children at risk and refugees.
EAPN Malta highlighted with EuroNews the role of civil society in the fight against poverty, the importance of supporting NGOs and the need to have the fight against poverty on top of the political agenda both locally and on a European level.
The interviews will be shown during the programme called Parlamento. It will be transmitted every day from Saturday to March 3. The schedule can be checked on the EuroNews website http://www.euronews.com
