Europe Day to be celebrated at Villa Rundle in Victoria

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with a range of EU information and service providers

Europe Direct Gozo will mark Europe Day with a full-day public event in Victoria, bringing together information, culture and community engagement.

Organised in collaboration with the Gozo Ministry, the event will take place on Saturday, May 9, at Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria between 10am and 5pm.  The event forms part of the spring fair programme.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with a range of EU information and service providers, who will be present to offer insights into the EU, their respective roles and the services available to citizens and businesses.

Among the participating organisations there will be Globe Malta, which will present its latest water awareness project, developed in collaboration with Europe Direct and Nature Trust – FEE Malta, which will highlight its ongoing work in environmental conservation across Malta.

The event will also feature a cultural component, where the Visual and Performing Arts School (Gozo) will present a multidisciplinary performance incorporating drama, dance, visual arts and music.

Educational initiatives will also be in focus with an eTwinning stand providing information about the EU’s school collaboration platform, including a digital scavenger hunt and a short panel discussion aimed at promoting participation and awareness.

The Victoria Scout Group will be participating in the event for the first time, contributing to the event’s interactive and community-oriented atmosphere.
