There was another positive result for Mark Herrera on the final day of the European Junior Championships in Finland on Sunday as he ran the 1,500 metres in 4:01.19, which is just outside his personal best.

Last Thursday, Herrera had recorded a personal best in the 800 metres.

But there was no such good news for Rebecca Camilleri, whose jump of 5.64 metres in the final of the long jump was well below her national record of 5.95 metres.

Camilleri failed to register a jump in her first two attempts which put the pressure on her to record a jump on her final attempt.
