Excellent performance by La Vittoria Youth Band of Mellieha

Hats off to the Youth Band of La Vittoria Band Club, Mellieha, for the excellent musical programme they performed last Friday week as part of the feast of Our Lady of Victories. The Youth Band was well prepared, with excellent musical execution and professional presentation. Modern and classical musical pieces, suiting all tastes of the large crowd present, were played.

A number of selections were accompanied with young, able singers and dancers. Two young and very professional presenters added humour between each piece of music. This helped to connect the audience with the band, making the evening quite enjoyable for both sides.

Congratulations to all young musicians of the La Vittoria Band, especially the soloists, who showed exceptional talent. The three protagonists and young maestros Daniel, Michael and Ryan, deserve a special mention for the effort they put in teaching music to young friends and fellows, preparing the music and rehearsing. Thanks to the La Vittoria Band committee for the encouragement and support they give these energetic youngsters. It is very healthy and educational. Keep it up.
