An exhibition of drawings in silverpoint by Victor Koulbak is being held at the National Museum of Fine Arts from Sunday to October 14.

Koulbak was born in 1946 in Moscow. Having graduated from the Moscow Art School in 1964 he then worked as a draughtsman for various publishers. He later studied at the Poligraphic Institute in Moscow for three years.

Five of his exhibitions were closed down shortly after opening. He then left the USSR and has exhibited his works in France, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Japan, Italy, England, Austria, Canada and the United States.

The exhibition will be open at the Museum of Fine Arts, South Street, Valletta daily from 8.30 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. until the end of the month and from 8.30 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. daily until October 14.
